CCF NY meets a real need for the French-speaking Jewish community in the United States. It's a reception, information and cultural center to strengthen Jewish identity, to welcome all without family on American soil. We welcome students, trainees, & immigrants, in a warm Jewish environment, to boost Jewish pride, further Jewish culture ,to protect our rights in France, Europe and beyond, through American–style lobbying . CCF NEW YORK is the one and only French speaking Jewish organization affiliated to the French Consulate of New York and member of the Comite des Associations Francaises de New York. (www.cafusa.com) CCF New York’s mission through action: Strengthen Jewish identity: We offer courses of Torah and Chassidout. -In private: Professionals with a tight schedule benefit from lessons in Torah by phone, or in person to strengthen their Jewish heritage. -In group: Study of Jewish culture with emphasis of actual and everyday life lessons. . Conferences about Judaism. Welcoming all in a warm Jewish environment: • Organize Shabbatons for Students in New York on weekly basis: CCF New York has become the home away from home for many students throughout the years. . Provide Kosher accommodations in Jewish quarters. . Organize large scale events for all Jewish Holidays. Boost Jewish pride: . Show how the Jewish identity could be an advantage in the development of one’s professional life, and one’s Country. . Create the bond with the complex network of the Jewish American Organizations, and Jewish French organizations. . Propose various linguistic programs, training, internships, jobs, home-stay, lodging and other services for French students coming to New York, or American students going to France with the purpose of providing outstanding programs, and keeping the student in a Jewish and Kosher environment . . Promote our Jewish youth in their professional life by helping them start professional careers. . Provide job counseling, career planning and skill training for people in the Metropolitan area. . Provide legal assistance to help immigrants in New York along their path to a better life. . Publish in the Jewish press in France and the United States, relevant information for the community. . Accommodate groups of children and adults within the framework of exchange, with other Jewish communities. . Help Families & students when they make aliyah to Israel. . Open a Judaism summer camp program for young adults. Humanitarian program: . Provide a tuition fund for large families and students, through our “Bais Rivka tuition fund.” . Provide food packages every week to families in need. . Help financially widows and orphans. Representation of the French and American Jewish community to the French Authorities : . Organize positive events in the French Consulate. . Inform the French Authorities in New York, the needs of the Jewish community. . Educate the French Authorities and non Jewish organizations about Jewish culture, to offer a deeper understanding of Judaism . I also want to inform you that we project in a very near future, to start a building fund to concentrate and expand our programs. The building will enable the Jewish French Community to meet, will provide a place for conferences, lodging for students, will be that landmark that is cruelly missing today.
